Hello, welcome to the History of the World podcast Illuminati Debrief.

A little bit overdue because the episode was about a week ago,

but I still thought I'd pop on and have a little chat with you about it. Now, it was an

interesting episode and a big jump from where we were. Obviously, we spent a long time in the

Far East exploring medieval, far east from Japan to China to Southeast Asia.

We even fitted in the Mongols, the story of the Mongols and that progression as well.

So a big long time in the Far East.

And we finally got to stretch our legs a bit with this with this

prevailing theory that only emerged in the 1980s of an Austronesian expansion from the island of

Taiwan and of course we told the story of how we believe that this migration

ventured south to the Philippines, then in turn the islands of Indonesia, Borneo and Sulawesi

mentioned, and then it changes direction and heads east across the northern coasts of New Guinea,

out to the Solomon Islands and beyond into the Pacific Ocean.
