I'm John That's with Gregory Copley. Gregory and I have the good luck to be senior in a world of

juniors and very young people with a great promise. However, it is a passing phenomenon that a

number of major countries, the United States and China, for example, are ruled by seniors, even senior to Gregory and myself.

And there is wisdom in that, or there used to be.

The Chinese Communist Party might be an exception.

Is it, Gregory, is Xi Jinping old enough?

Is he well-educated enough? Is he trusted

enough to be the wise man in charge? No. He is, he doesn't have a serious education. He has a very

had a very privileged life in which he's been locked into an ideological framework,

a so-called Marxist-Leninist or Maoist philosophy.

He has not been able to cope with the realities of the Chinese economy or society.

His nemesis, you could argue, was Dong Xiaoping, who basically clawed his way to power
