This is CBS, I Am The World, I'm John Bachelors to Australia. And then on to New Zealand, there's

a tragedy in New Zealand that is yet to be an adequately explained arson, the headline

Wellington Fire, known arsonists as police interview him about fatal loafers' large

blaze. There are photographs and video accompanying this, but I need help. Scott Maiman of CBS News

is in Queensland. That's the capital is Brisbane. And we're looking at across the water to New

Zealand. And I'm eager for news about New Zealand. It's a far away place to me, another

galaxy. Scott, it's a difficult say to learn about a place when there's a tragedy. What

can you tell me about this fire?

G'day John, it's tragic, it's horrific. It's one of the worst situations that authorities

in New Zealand have had to deal with as far as fires are concerned. The initial reports

were devastating. The death toll in one respect has reduced, but there's still the search

for more bodies. Now what we know at the moment, one person has been charged and faced caught

over deliberately lighting the fire. But it's only a holding charge if I could explain

that for the moment. There's only one charge at the moment that's holding this person

in court. They made a brief appearance. This holding charge will keep this person under

the jurisdictions until they're able to get authorities and crews into the building,

seek out tragically more bodies that are still in this burnt out ruin. And depending of

that, we are expecting the death toll to rise, but we won't know any more significant information
