I was set on being a Mounted Police Officer from a young age, but I knew it had to move

to make it happen, and for me, the Met presented endless opportunities.

Now, what we know is that a 24-year-old Chinese national entered a dining mall.

It's near Auckland, the multiple restaurants there, Chinese restaurants.

That's where it's alleged he swung an axe at patrons. Four people injured.

Two people still remain in hospital, but the conditions are not said to be life threatening.

He appeared in court this week. He remains behind bars until his next court appearance,

but this is bizarre. This is not the norm. The judge has made a suppression order.

On most of the material, his name, the witnesses to this event, we may not know any more

until he's due to reappear in court. The date is yet to be established, but this is a strange

one, John, where you don't normally see suppression orders like this, unless there's other
