Foreign Affairs, to remind us of Anzac Day what it stands for. And it is especially appropriate now

because Australia is now stepping into being a major bulwark against the threat of the

People's Republic of China and its predatory ally, the Russian Federation.

And where does it come from? What does it remember? Good evening to you.

Good evening, John. Well, Anzac Day is, if you like, the one day of the year, they call it in

Australia. It's more important than Christmas and New Year and Australia Day combined because it

signifies the date when Australians first somehow realized that they were a unified commonwealth

and rather than just a scattering of ex-colonial states which had come together to form Australia.

Same thing applied to New Zealand. It was the Anzac Day, the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
