This is CBS, I'm the World, I'm John Batchford, to Australia.

My colleague Gregory Kaplie, Defense and Foreign Affairs in Australia, his native Australia,

to attend and to listen to and to explicate aspects of August that are critical for the

rest of this century, not just immediately for the defense of Australian New Zealand

and the five eyes from the aggression out of the People's Republic of China, but looking

forward to do with technology, software, imagination.

Gregory, a very good even to thank you for this.

Reuters has written up a series of conferences taking place in Australia these last days.

The one I'm looking at is at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.

And there were distinguished speakers, including Andrew Sheer, the Director General of the Office

of National Intelligence in Australia, the Defense Minister Richard Morales, most notably

Eric Schmidt, formerly of Google, who is a representative at the United States Department

of Defense on Artificial Intelligence.

And so we're looking at Australia, the United Kingdom, the five eyes fitting together

into an exploration of the future, if I understand, because China as a peer competitor

is also a think tank looking to change the conflict into one not only of kinetic violence

that would be surface and submarine and air warfare, but also of cyberspace and into outer

space, lower, or a tharbit higher, or a tharbit under the moon.

And so these conversations are they well received in Australia?

Does this in live in the Australian Defense business going forward?
