Totally legit question, and I love these sorts of, too, but someone was objecting nicely to us

talking about anger. I was saying we're supposed to get rid of it. I'm saying, yeah, but repressing

it doesn't work. So why do you want people to repress their anger? Because then it just, it

explodes. You repress it, repress it, repress it explodes explodes shouldn't repress it that's a good point

great point um and i would say yeah don't repress it um repressing it though thankfully is not the

only option i mean that's the thing too i hear from me all you're saying to repress it like like

it's impossible to do what the scripture says which is is to get rid of it, even before the sun goes down.

The other alternative, besides repressing it or constantly feeding it and dressing it up and calling it righteous and parading it around and petting it and pretending with...

Demanding everyone else bow to it yeah and understand it

and okay there's another option which is crazy radical and most people are not willing to do this

but that option is called forgiveness and there's no way you can forgive somebody i think we know this right

i mean i can't do it i can can forgive somebody. I think we know this, right? I mean, I can't do it.

I can't forgive somebody and simultaneously say,

and I'm going to stay angry at you because my anger is righteous.

Now my relationship may change with a person.

If it's an abusive relationship, forgiveness doesn't mean you go back into that relationship,

obviously.

But forgiveness does mean giving up the right to anger

and you give it up because of what God has done for you and you're a sinner too. Again, very unpopular.

The road less taken, but it turns out it's the way to be healthiest. And it's also pretty obviously
