And we're going to devote today's entire show to breaking down the pros and cons of Kamala Harris's running mate finalists, several of whom will be meeting with the vice president

this weekend. And here to run through the list with me is national politics correspondent,

Adam. Good morning, Adam. Good to be with you, Ron. All right, so let's go through the five

major finalists. We should always say, you never know about a last minute curveball, but we're

going to go through the five that we have the most reporting to back up are the finalists. And let's start with

Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, just because the buzz about him reached a fever pitch.

Yeah. So Josh Shapiro, if there's a smart money in the Vee stakes right now, it's on Josh Shapiro,

the Pennsylvania governor who in 2020 outperformed Joe Biden by 14 points in the crucial

must-win swing state of Pennsylvania. I mean, that's one of the keystone. I mean, it's literally

the keystone state literally and figuratively for Democrats and Republicans in this race. And so

he's someone who has a unique in-state brand that could help Harris. On the cons side,

you know, this is someone who has taken a very outspoken position against the campus protests,

someone who is a bit more of a moderate, which, you know, could benefit Harris for swing voters, but someone who is a bit more of a moderate, which could benefit Harris for swing voters,

but someone who is seen as very pro-Israel and also has gotten a little sideways with the

unions. He also is someone who has dealt with last year a sexual harassment scandal

where a member of his cabinet allegedly harassed a lower level female aid.

And there are questions about what he knew and when he knew it.

So we saw the National Women's Defense League come out this week and say that Harris should consider how he handled this as she makes her overall decision.

All right. Let's stick with the governors here and go through the rest of the governors.

This name is surprising to a lot of people, but he has made it to the finals here.
