It's Wednesday, August 14th, and here's what's driving the day.

The final member of the Progressive Squad to face a primary this cycle is likely heading back to Congress next year.

Representative Ilhan Omar narrowly survived a challenge

last night in Minnesota. Her squad colleagues, Corey Bush and Jamal Bowman, were both defeated

in primaries earlier this year, largely thanks to money spent by pro-Israel groups, which did not play

a significant role in Omar's race.

Next up, Sean O'Brien, the Teamsters president.

You'll remember he made a splash last month speaking at the Republican National Convention,

and the Teamsters now stand alone among America's largest unions in withholding an endorsement of Kamala Harris.

But on Monday night, Donald Trump said something in his interview with Elon Musk that set

O'Brien off. The former president suggested that striking workers ought to be summarily fired.

In a statement to playbook last night, O'Brien shot back.

Firing workers for organizing, striking,

and exercising their rights as Americans is economic terrorism, O'Brien told us. Whether that

will translate into a Harris endorsement remains to be seen. Brittany Gibson reports that the

Teamsters National Black Caucus has now endorsed Harris, putting pressure on its parent

organization, which is conducting an online straw poll of members.

O'Brien notably said yesterday he has yet to receive an invitation to address the Democratic

National Convention next week in Chicago.
