And today I've got another audiobook version of one of my new stories. This one is called

Time Wave Zero Redux, and I hope you'll find it interesting.

Now, if you've been with me here in the salon for a while, you know that I haven't been a big fan of Terrence McKenna's time wave hypothesis.

And yes, I know that everybody calls it a theory, but it never rose to that level.

At best, it was an untested hypothesis.

But today I'm going to have to admit that perhaps I rush to judgment too quickly.

What if, back in the day, we were so focused on the time wave's supposed end date that we missed the big picture. Maybe our focus should

have been on the year 2012 rather than on a specific day during that year. And that's what

this story is all about. What do you remember about what was taking place as we approached

December 21st, 2012? As that fateful day approached,

well, something strange was happening to our collective consciousness, at least to those of us who knew

about Terence McKenna's time wave hypothesis. Although this story compresses the actual history of the

2012 madness into a single year of 2012,

the actual story was spread over a decade.

And as I remember it, by 2012, the end of 2012, everybody I knew was over it and hardly even thought about that December date anymore.

But back in, say, from 2005 to 2008 or so, which was after Terence died, which was in April

2000, but during that three or four year period, it was more hectic as far as the people

were talking about 2012.
