So today we are discussing the quote-unquote dark horse

0:24.9

winner of the National Book Award, Lord of Misrule, a novel by Jamie Gordon. And we're joking here

1:20.2

1:25.8

after it was nominated for the award.

1:27.6

Yes.

1:27.9

At which point it received a favorable notice from Jane Smiley in the Washington Post and

1:35.1

a good write-up in the Daily Racing Form.

1:37.6

Oh, I'm surprised I miss that, since I do like to check the Daily and Racing Form out.
