The Race is on, and Adrian Huey's tenure as Aston Martin team principal is set to be a short one, with Jonathan Wheatley walking away from Audi for what the team calls personal reasons and expected to head to Silverstone.

So what's behind these latest machinations, and what does it tell us about the ambitions of both outfits?

I'm Ed's draw and joining me to tackle perhaps F1's most unstable team is Scott Mitchell Maln.

Right, Scott, let's get straight into it.

This is both surprising and not surprising in so far as when he was announced it never

seemed really like a permanent solution, but they never said it was an interim.

They seemed to push it as an absolute.

So what's actually going on?

What's changed? What hasn't changed for that

matter? Yeah, I think you're right. I think it's more about like, I think a very strong initial

official line in terms of Newy as the team principal now, as well as managing technical partner. He

leads the team. this is the best solution

going forward remember lawrence stroll the owner and chairman saying at the time that this would

basically unleash new his full potential on the technical side as well which i always thought was quite

odd if your shareholding managing managing technical partner also needs to be the team principal to do his

technical job then something's not quite right there and it felt a little bit like overcompensating for whatever had been

going on in the background that meant Andy Cowell was being moved sideways into this slightly

strange chief strategy officer role. And yeah, very much in that kind of Lawrence Stroll mould of I do things the right way.

We do things my way.

And it will not be questioned.
