Today on the podcast David Platt concludes the series attachment, the gospel and our families.

Sadly many churches and our culture have not addressed the issue of divorce and its devastating consequences.

The church must fulfill its responsibility in this area, proclaiming, commending, and living out a biblical view

of marriage, all while ministering to those who have been affected by divorce.

Though God hates divorce, he holds out hope through the Gospel to those who will repent.

Corinthians chapter 7 I want to be honest with you. I am uneasy as I stand before you. I shared last week how I've been convicted in this series on the gospel and our families of two

factors that are severely affecting the gospel and our families today.

And tonight we're going to dive into the gospel and divorce and next week the gospel in divorce and next week the gospel and homosexuality.

And I know that as soon as I say the word divorce, the very mention of the word, carries a huge weight for many, if not most people in this

room.
