Summary

Almost everyone, even those who are not into true crime, can provide probably a couple examples of serial killers that have never been caught. Most people have heard of Jack the Ripper. In 1888 he murdered at least five women in London's poor Whitechapel district.Did you know that the equivalent of Jack the Ripper was prowling in the South of the United States about a hundred years ago? It is very likely that you have never heard this story. The murderer took advantage of the racism and segregation present in those years, spreading fear among African-American women. He was even petty enough to tell one woman that she was not attractive enough to be killed by him. His audacity grew gradually as authorities ignored his crimes, most probably due to his choice of victims. The Ripper killed around 20 young and beautiful women in the streets of Atlanta, mysteriously emerging from and then disappearing back into the fog.
