When Kristen Dumay, the author of Jesus and John Wayne, set out to write her book,

she had no clue the depths of what she would uncover.

As she wrote her final chapter, she began to highlight the stories of sexual abuse survivors who had been harmed by American evangelicalism covering up or excusing abuse in order to preserve

the platforms of their abusers. In her stunning new documentary for our daughters, we hear firsthand from some of

these survivors what it has been like to navigate disclosure and seeking justice within

evangelical systems and how the apathy and contempt for survivors directly correlates with

the widespread American evangelical support of Donald Trump.

Today, we will hear from one of those survivors, Tiffany Thigpen.
