We're going to jump in mid-story for sake of time. I'd like to jump in in what is John

chapter 4 in verse 25. John chapter 4 in verse 25. This is at the conclusion of

Jesus at this well, Jacob's well or Jacob's well that he dug and then gave to Joseph.

So many thousands of years later, Jesus is sitting at this well.

He engages with the Samaritan woman, which is unheard of due to prejudice and bias and racism and oppression. Jesus is there. He is raging against the cultural norms. They're in the middle of a conversation and it's a theological

conversation which is astounding. And Jesus responds to the woman's statement. They come to the

conclusion and we'll take some time I'm sure at

some point during these collection of sermons to talk about the theological discussion that

Jesus has with the Samaritan woman. But kind of at this discussion, it kind of lulls for a second,

and I think the woman kind of in the little goes,

well, this is also confusing, she says in verse 25.

But I do know that the anointed one is coming the true Messiah and when he comes

He will tell us everything we need to know

Jesus said to the woman you don't have to wait any longer. The

anointed one is here speaking with you. I am the I am or I am the one you're looking for.

At that moment, the disciples, Jesus, 12 Jewish disciples,

returned from a village where they were getting food for Jesus, and they were stunned.

To see Jesus speaking with the Samaritan woman,

yet none of them dare ask him why or what they were discussing.

But notice now, verse 28, all at once the woman dropped her water jar,

ran off to her village and told everyone, come and meet a man,

at the well who told me everything I've ever done. He could be the
