Today we'd like to introduce you to Randy Chukko, who was a detective who climbed the ranks

all the way up to chief of police in Washington Township, New Jersey.

But the case we're talking about today didn't happen when he was a detective or even when

he was chief.

It was from when he was a patrol officer and it's that one case that he'll never forget.

Police officers want to make it seem like nothing is going to affect them that they just

go to work and do their job and nothing is brought home really isn't the case not with

I think many of us who work in the justice system have that one homicide case that impacts

you so deeply that it actually haunts you.

It could be because of the way that the family was destroyed and the murders wake.

It could be because of who the victim was and sometimes it's because you have a regret

that you didn't do even more.

And for Randy that case takes us back 45 years ago to New Mill for New Jersey not too far
