the Republic of Georgia. I'd like to welcome the show Emily Lush Lush from Wander-Lush.org and Emily has come to talk to us

about Western Georgia and I mean the Republic of Georgia. Emily welcome to the show.

So first of all what's your connection with Georgia?

Right, so I am not Georgian, I am Australian and Australia is about as far as you can get from Georgia I think a couple of years ago I

I like many people I didn't know anything about this tiny country I probably couldn't have put it on a map. One day I was listening to a

podcast and I heard a cyclist who had cycled around the world. They said that Georgia was their

favorite country and I thought maybe I should go check it out. I didn't know anything about it. I spent three months here

traveling and have made trips back since then and then last year like many people this happens a lot but a lot of people sort of fall in love

with Georgia and end up either staying or returning you don't really just visit just

once so if you're planning a trip you're going to be back. Last year I decided to move here.

So I arrived in February 2020,

and I've been here for about 14 months.

And I love living here, living in Tbilisi,

living in Batumi. I've kind of been between both cities which are the two largest cities in Georgia
