Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen. Before we get

into this week's episode I do have two news stories for you. In the first

story the Carnival Ecstasy rescued 41 Cuban migrants at sea.

And you can imagine how the passengers felt about that.

They were unhappy. They were unhappy because this caused them to redirect from Cosimo where they were going to go and

instead sail to the Bahamas while I understand that this may have ruined their

vacation I think perhaps there's a larger picture here as well.

Perhaps they'd be interested in a new ship from Olson cruise lines.

Olson Cruise Lines is planning on letting the passengers vote every 48 hours on where their next destination will be. They'll be given two different destinations

and they'll get to vote and the ship will go wherever they decide. Let's just hope they don't have to vote

on whether they're going to rescue anyone.
