Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen. But before we get

into this week's interview I do have three new stories for you. The first one is

interesting. If you like flying on Virgin America or Virgin Atlantic you might be interested to know that Richard Branson has announced he's going to get into the cruise business.

Virgin Cruises is planning on starting with two different cruise ships based out of Miami, and they'll be targeting the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

This is ironic, considering that a report just came out of the United Kingdom, the growth in cruise passengers was only 1.5% last year.

Speaking of reports, a new study came out that said what people are willing to pay for

for additional fees on airplanes.

Nearly 90% of passengers said they wanted more comfortable seats and that they'd

be willing to pay for it. 45% say they'd pay for extra leg room. 34% would pay to prevent the seat

in front of them from reclining. 26% would pay to prevent the seat in front of them from reclining.

26% would pay to have an empty middle seat next to them.

13% said that they'd pay to have control of the armrest.

4% said they'd shell out to control the window shade and another 4%

said they'd be willing to pay to be first in line for the restrooms.

So it's possible that all those fees are coming in your future.
