amateur traveler episode 388. Today the amateur traveler talks about

temples and castles and large models of food made out of towels. As we go to the island of Shikoku in Japan.

I know that I should be heading home, but maybe not, maybe not

to the day.

In the first one, China is now opening in the Tibet region

when you get off the plane at this airport because it's at 14,472 feet. Makes the mile high city seem easy by comparison.

In the second new story, those of you who are my age may remember when Disneyland Paris opened up and there were lots of protesters protesting the Disneyification of Paris.

While there are protesters back out in the streets of Paris again protesting higher standards at Disneyland.

5,000 people turned out to say that the theme park is literally falling apart with broken rides,

reheated food, and canceled shows, and they want to see it brought up to standards.

How times have changed.

The third news story is a little more personal.

I went out to Catalina Island last weekend. Catalina Island is just off the coast of Los Angeles.

I was a guest of the tourism board there.
