Today the Amateur Traveler is going to talk about hiking and beautiful beaches and yes where you can find a Barbie to put that shrimp on

as we go to Australia's Sunshine Coast.

I know that I should be heading home

but maybe not, maybe not to the day.

Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Kristinson. Before we get

into this week's interview I do have two news stories for you. In the first one

if you're flying into the United States from a foreign airport, good news for you possibly because the No Hassel Flying Act has been signed into law, and that will allow certain airports basically that have met standards for security

to screen your bags there and therefore not have to do it a second time in the US.

Currently that includes nine airports in Canada, two in Ireland, and four in the Caribbean,

the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Aruba.

And that could be particularly good news for one traveler, and that is Tom Stuckerucker he's the first person to have

ever have flown 10 million miles on United Airlines and what do you get for

10 million miles besides a certificate they name a plane after you.

At 10 million miles, I think he's bought the plane.
