Welcome to the Amateur Traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen. Before we get

into this week's interview I do have three news stories for you. In the first

one the mayor of Chicago has some problems because that new $99 million contract for

custodial services at O'Hare Airport may have been given to a company that has

ties to the mob. Chicago, that has ties to the mob. Chicago, labor ties to the mob, that's

unheard of. And speaking of unheard of, if you're flying in Cafe Pacific, you may know that they

are known for their great service, but that may change because the flight

attendance in the near future will not be giving you drinks nor even smiles, and this is their form of

a salary protest.

In news closer to home here in San Jose, there was a party last week at City Hall with the

mayor to celebrate a new route to Japan to Tokyo's Nuretta Airport flown by ANA, all Nipp on Airways, and I bring that up because I'm going to Japan.
