Amateur Traveler episode 341. Today the amateur traveler talks about mountains and

glaciers and fjords as we go to the South Island of New Zealand. Zealand. I got the city one more cafe.

I know that I should be heading home, but maybe not, maybe not to the

day.

Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen. Before we get into

this week's interview I do have four news stories for you. The first one obviously

is the sad news that's coming out of the Middle East, especially Libya this week,

where the American ambassador and three others were killed.

Don't believe everything you hear in the news, not everyone who is Muslim hates us.

I hope you heard that the ambassador was rushed to

the hospital by passers-by and doctors tried to revive him for half an hour.

But unfortunately there is going to be more violence I think in the Middle East so if you're

traveling in that area please pay attention to travel advisories. And then as

long as we're talking about sad or macabre stories, police were

investigating a dead man found in London's street and are coming to

the conclusion that the man may have fallen from a plane, that he may have been a stowway

who fell from a plane to his death.

And I swear to you that I have seen this story before on a made for TV cop show.

And then speaking of cop shows, an escape murderer was arrested in Germany when he happened to come in on a cruise ship.
