into this week's show I do have three news stories for you. In the first one

United made a costly mistake they advertised first-class airfare to

Hong Kong for frequent flyers for just $33 in taxes. It was a computer glitch. The problem is this is going to be the first major

test of a Department of Transportation's new consumer protection rules prohibiting airlines

from increasing the price after the

consumer completes the purchase. So will they have to eat the cost of those

fares or not is something that we'll just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, in another United story,

more than 200 United passengers are back in the US

after a three-day delay in China

and a near mutiny. They were supposed to fly home Wednesday.

The flight was cancelled because mechanical reasons and then the flight was again canceled the next

day after a replacement part did not reach China.

And then on Friday they also canceled it because the flight crew ran up against their maximum

flight time.
