Today the Amateur Traveler goes to a great place to get fish and chips

where you can see the only primates in Europe that don't like soccer

and a great big rock as we go to Gibraltar.

Before we get into this week's interview,

I do have three news stories for you.

We know that things can get a little tense when you're flying in that great big metal tube. But the situation on an American

Airlines flight this week got a little out of hand, so much so that the pilot had to dump fuel and head back to the airport and they were escorted

in by F-16 fighters because the Milay had broken out on the plane, all because somebody had reclined their seat.

Really, really.

On the other hand, a good reason to cancel a flight was found by Quantis that canceled a flight because they found small rodents on board. Not only is that gross, but they wanted to make

sure that nobody had been chewing through the wires of the airplane. You may be familiar that sometimes travel agents get to take fam trips and a fam trip is a

familiarization trip if the idea is that they get to travel someplace at discounted or possibly even free rates in hopes that they will then sell that

location or that trip or that tour. Probably one of the top priorities for a company that is hosting travel agents on a fam trip

is that they don't kill them. But that's what happened unfortunately to three travel agents

who died after drinking what is believed to be alcohol mixed with methanol.

One woman is still in a coma.
