Today the Amateur Traveler talks about glaciers and salt flats and bus rides as we go to Chile. Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen.

Before I get into this week's interview I do have one news item of a personal nature

for anyone who is a listener to the show. The question that I raised last

week is, given my new job with Trip advisor as a director of engineering, would I in fact be still

doing the show? We worked out an agreement in terms of conflict of

interest and I will be allowed to do both the blog and the podcast. I will be

making it non-commercial so I'll be taking all the ads off but that's not so much of an issue for me and the biggest

issue is going to be time and really we're going to have to wait and see because obviously

the job does have to come first because I'm very excited about the job and obviously it's a wonderful

opportunity so hopefully you can bear with me as we try and figure out schedules and whether this

will still come out every week or not and I can't really say it this time.

I will say that since this is the last episode that will include sponsorships, at least for the foreseeable future,
