Zimbabwe. Learn about this beautiful African country that's had some problems but is still worth visiting today

Welcome to the amateur traveler. I'm your host Chris Christensen. Before we get into the

interview with Alex I do have some travel news for you. There's some people

who are probably glad who are going to be flying on a

United Airlines flight from London last week that the pilot when he passed through security

was stopped by the security guards because he was drunk and

was not allowed to fly the plane which seems like a good idea. And something else

that seems like a good idea, some residents of Paris who are tired of people thinking that Parisians are rude, have banded together

and will show people around their fair city for free.

And these Paris greeters, as they are known,

are also happy to do the tours in English.

So that's something you might want to check out

if you're going to the city of Lights.

If you were an American who happens to like traveling on the train you

might be interested in knowing that Amtrak is now offering discount passes to

U.S. residents that used to only be available to those who lived outside the

country. So check that out. Passes are for 15, 30, and 45 days of travel.
