Today the Amateur Traveler goes to the Rolling Hills, the mangrove swamps and the small towns of Georgia. Welcome to the amateur traveler. Before we get into the interview today, I do have two

news stories for you. The first one is the strangest thing, as if United Airlines hadn't been having

enough troubles with their finances. Last week they had an echo of the past happen

in a weird internet thing.

What happened was apparently an six-year-old news story that said that United Airlines was

planning on going bankrupt, showed up through a strange collection of events on Google and got reported by

Bloomberg causing a 75% drop in the stock of United Airlines on a single day.

All of this because an internet search engine didn't know that that was an old story.

It's just not a good year for the airlines.

Although Continental seems to be having a better year,

they're saying that all those new luggage fees we love so much, charging $15 per checked bag,

are going to raise them $ hundred million dollars in revenue.
