A couple weeks ago on April 8th I believe it was we all got to experience a solar eclipse

my father our father was very excited for it. He bought a bunch of

eclipse glasses, special glasses to view the sun and he'd been counting down the days and we kind of

teased him a little bit for being so prepared but then when the time came we were so grateful that we had these glasses.

They came over to we were at Christian's house and my parents came over, Kate was there,

and it was really nice.

We like sat outside and it felt very old-fashioned but it also felt just to be together outside.

It was nice to have an excuse to do that.

And then where we were, we were viewing it in Connecticut,

it wasn't a total eclipse.

It wasn't like, I think we were all kind of expecting a total

blockage of the sun and it being dark outside and after having a couple hours of fun

and enjoyable bantering kind of just spending time with each other.

Our mother got up and said, well, that was disappointing.

Meaning, it wasn't a total eclipse. There was still like a little ring, a little edge of sun that was visible.

Yes, if the whole day was a glass of liquid, our mother found that glass of liquid half empty I think it's fair to say because the

glass didn't have like a meniscus remember that thing and yeah the liquid would go

over the glass but it really it was more, this is the better analogy, an empty glass of water but with like little

droplets of water at the bottom of the glass.
