Summary

Is the risk of coronavirus infection as serious as we’ve been led to believe? In today’s podcast, I talk with Dr. Kirk Parsley, who thinks the relative risk is lower than we think, and that the case fatality rate will end up being similar to influenza. Hear his thoughts about coronavirus testing, coronavirus data, and public health strategies to move us forward from COVID-19. https://drruscio.com/assessing-coronavirus-covid19-risk

And this is not to mitigate the concern here, but I am worried that a lot of people have a

far worse perspective on this than they should. And that fear is paralyzing people from making evidence-based or data-driven decisions.

Because when you're operating under fear, you're not thinking logically. You're not applying

1:17.9

rationality in math. And certainly not to profess that I have all the answers. But we touched

And it may be obviously better to look at what's on as the infection fatality rate, which

looks at everyone who's been infected, not just the cases that are severe enough

provoking, thought-provoking that is, I guess, and potentially politically provoking,
