Now, after six decades, the Syrian-Bathist dictatorship has finally been toppled.

The vast majority of that, of course, under the Al-Assad's.

And for the 21st century, all of that under Bashar al-Ala-Sad.

Now, we've seen scenes of jubilation in Syria and beyond.

This was a vicious dictatorship, which killed hundreds of thousands of its own people,

including with barrel bombs and chemical weapons, despite styling itself when it's suited as anti-imperialist,

collaborated with the war and terror with the George Bush administration. Tony Blair,

saw at one point to give him a knighthood, despised by the

Palestinian people.

We're seeing Palestinian prisoners being released amongst other prisoners who have been imprisoned

for so long that some of them think they are being liberated by the Iraqi army of Saddam Hussein

and many aren't even aware

that Bashar al-Assad is even the ruler, they think it's his father. Hidious horrors, but some

are, I would say, confused, and I've seen that on social media. There is no better person to

talk about this than my brilliant guest, Ramijara,

who is Syrian, who's someone who has been arrested by the Syrian regime, been involved in

activism, journalism, someone who throughout Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people,

I followed his moral integrity, has always shone through.

He's been a brilliant voice. I had to say so many Syrian voices have been, including

Syrian-Palestinian voices, of course, through the genocide, speaking out against these

horrors and now asking us to have consistency when we talk, of course, about the regime of Assad.
