Today on the show, we have Michael Cropveld, and besides being a really nice guy, he is the founder and executive director of InfoCult, InfoSect, based in Montreal, Canada.

He also serves on the board of directors of the International Cultic Studies Association, the ICSA, and as chair of the ICSA Conference Committee.

And he's been involved in organizing the ICSA Annual International Conferences

on Caltic Phenomena since the mid-1990s.

And the next conference, actually, that will be an international conference,

is going to be in Montreal next summer, summer of 2020.

Since the founding of InfoCult in 1980, Michael has assisted thousands of former members and members

of cults and new religious movements and other groups and their families, and he's served

as an expert witness on cult-related criminal and civil cases, which we will talk about,

and is consulted regularly by mental health professionals and law enforcement agencies.

He's an invited speaker worldwide and has appeared on many radio and television programs locally,

nationally and internationally.

And he's co-authored books, and he has been awarded the 125 commemorative medal by the

government of Canada in recognition of significant contribution to compatriots, community, and to

Canada, and in 2007, he received the Herbert L. Rosedale Award from the ICSA in recognition of

leadership in the effort to preserve and protect individual freedom. Here he is now.
