learning something here that most parents already know. But Jude is five and not

long ago I was trying to figure out why he wouldn't take the bus in the morning.

I'd take him out to the bus stop and he'd flat out refused to get on.

He'd scream, he'd sit down, he'd cry, daring me to pick him up and get him on myself and finally I just gave up the battle

I started walking to school with him and I'd ask him you know, why won't you get on the bus?

And he would just look back at me and glare and say,
