Summary

It’s time for the latest episode of Ask Rob & Rob!  (0:42) Ben wants to start investing in property but he’s lost on where to begin. He’s absorbed all our content online and determined his goals. Now he’s moving back to Liverpool, he thinks he’d like to take advantage of his local knowledge and potentially buy his first investment here, but he’s hoping Rob & Rob can share their advice for the safest investment he can make for his first plunge.  (6:01) While Derek has previously experienced no problems with his tenants, recent complaints from the neighbours indicate a lapse in garden maintenance. Despite his efforts to equip them with necessary tools, such as a lawnmower, during his last visit, there has been no improvement. Now, Derek is wondering what he should do next, and if he should issue them a Section 21 Notice.  Enjoy the show?  Leave us a review on Apple Podcasts - it really helps others find us!  Sign up for our free weekly newsletter, Property Pulse  Send us your question by calling us on 013 808 00035 and leaving a message with your name and question (normal UK call rates apply) or click here to leave a recording via your computer instead.  Find out more about Property Hub Invest  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hi, I'm Rob.

And this is Ask Rob and Rob.

Hello everyone and welcome to Ask Rob and Rob, the show where you provide questions and we

0:11.6

provide answers. That trade-off has been working for

0:14.4

quite a lot of episodes now, over 400 in fact. So let's keep that going.

We have two brilliant questions in this week, but before we kick kick off let's just give you a

0:23.2

quick reminder of how you can get your questions into the show. It's so simple I'm

0:27.0

going to go out in a limb here and say it's so simple if you can't follow this

0:29.6

instruction you shouldn't be investing in the first place. All you have to do is go to

0:33.1

Property Hub. Net slash Ask. You can send us a written question for the Sunday Times

0:37.3

or you can send us an audio question for this show right here. Just like Ben's done.

I've been listening for a while and I'm making my way through Rob's Property Investment

0:51.7

for Beginners Book. Long story short, I want to start investing

0:55.2

in property and I've actually got no idea what's best for my first investments. You probably guessed

1:01.6

from my voice down from Liverpool and I'll be moving back up to

1:05.6

Liverpool towards the end of the year where ideally I'd like to start buying my first property

1:10.3

and eventually creating a portfolio for myself. I know a bit about the areas of the city already and I've watched your goals and strategy videos on YouTube as well.

1:21.0

Personally I'd like a steady income at the start just I just want to get going on

1:25.3

the ladder, I want to get started. I'm not too cash flow heavy at the moment so short term goals aren't really a maximum priority, I'm more of a medium and long-term, so steady low-risk income and then gradually building a portfolio over the next five to ten years being my main targets. I don't have a huge

1:44.4

amount of time to manage the property as I'll be doing it while working and hence
