Last week I had begun the discussion about the issue of Kasser and I said that there's still much more to do this week in

sha ala and so I will divide today's response into two first that we're going

to continue from where we left off and then secondly there's an issue that uh... that some people wrote to me about about last week,

so I'm going to get back to that. Also I got a lot of feedback a lot of people said you gave a 45 minute talk and we are we're not able to listen to 45 minutes.

So I'm just going to give the one minute response from last week

that suffer is not a distance, it is a state of mind.

And that you are a Musoussafir when you travel outside of your city to a

distance that you and a reasonable person as well because we don't want to say a crazy

person says across the street this is

Safar. Somebody like a a k-el-Bale person would say this is a travel and what this means

is that it is relative and what it means is that you don't need to ask a fakir. If you are asking somebody you don't

understand the response. You do not come to a sheikh and say, sheh, I travel from this to this,

am I Musafir? You know when you are Musafir and it is possible

that two people can do the same journey and one of them considers Musafir and the

other not depending on their culture and habit. The one who takes a private jet every day to work 200 miles away and he goes at 8 a.m. Comes back at 5 p.m. is not a mousafir and the one who goes the same distance for a one day trip and he's not a regular and he's going it's up to your mindset and your culture and your habit.

So you know when you are a mousafir. That is a two minute response.

Jayyeth. We now move on and I'm going to come back to one issue at the end.

You should pray the four rakat as two, but it is not wajib. Hence if a person performs for whatever reason the full prayer and they are Musafir, the prayer is valid.
