Alana and welcome to or welcome back to Morning Ray. I'm your host. That was definitely not the

right intro, but I digress. I am starting our relaunch back strong with an Ask Lan advice column

and I just want to preface that I wrote this outline back in March and had every intention

of recording it but my Pilates cert teaching life work travel all the things kind of took me away

from my ability to pour my heart and soul into recording the episodes and I did not want to give

you a half-assed episode at all. I wanted

whatever is going to be recording to be good. So here we are, sadly, took two months off,

have never done that since we started the pod. We are so back, you guys. I'm so ready for

Hot Girl Summer, for being consistent with the pod, and I'm so excited to record today's episode.

Let's just jump into it, yeah? Okay. These are questions that you guys have put into. I can't remember if I got some of them from the Google form, but they definitely were asked in my Askland Monday

story advice columns. And I put some together for you. We have everything from dating to balancing

life, adulting, life advice, financials. What else do we have in here? Planning, all the things.

But here is question number one. I'm going to try to answer as many

of these as possible and without going too long or i guess maybe you guys want a really long episode

we'll see we'll see how it goes i just don't want myself to start standing tired or anything you

know let's get into it shall we first question thoughts on men, like when you're out at a bar or do you let them approach you? I'm trying to think back to my single days. Feeling a little weird, being out of practice. I would say I, especially in the last few months, the last year before I met my boyfriend, I really had this kind of like mentality switch.

When it came to this, I used to be the girl that would slide into the DMs, would message the boy first, would initiate, etc.

And I think past Atlanta probably would have been like, it's the 21st century, it's 2026, you can go up to a guy.

And I do think, yes, you can. There's nothing wrong with it per se. But based off of how I think

things can work out successfully and attracting the right kind of man, I think you should let the men

come to you. Kind of think of it as like dropping your handkerchief. Give them a few hints that
