We still track every purchase, but our budget is a mess and fixing it is very hard.

We don't want a full reset because we don't want to lose the history, any advice.

Yes, I do have some advice.

The fact that you still track every purchase is awesome.

So the first thing I would do is I would reconcile each and every single account, which

means you're just making sure that the Wine App account, say it's your checking account,

matches exactly what your bank account says you have so that all accounts are reconciled.

They agree with each other.

Wine App account, checking account, agrees with bank, checking account, account.

And that, now you have the truth.

Now Wine App is representative of your real situation.

The budget side of things, you don't want to get rid of the categories, you don't want

to do a fresh start.
