Hi everyone and welcome to this week's Ask Alice. So I put a question box out recently asking for questions for this segment and I'm going to be honest with you guys I was absolutely blown away by how many people

message me asking about whether I wanted children whether I was ready for children

whether I was aware of one was like, like, are you aware of your fertility window and are you feeling as though

it's like closing in on you? And look, like I'm always someone that takes these with a pinch of salt and I understand that almost all of them are meant with absolute kindness and genuine inquisivity, but I felt a little bit, I don't know, affected by them.

And I think it's an important conversation for us to have

because I just think that like in this day and age,

it is a very complex and difficult subject to address with any

woman and unless someone specifically says that they are trying for kids or they are pregnant or they are on a fertility journey,

then I think it's really important that we try to avoid asking these questions. I also think it's like highly

predictable that you know with a wedding impending it feels like it's almost like

well what's next for her then because the wedding's here now so then it must be that kids are next and I just

feel like this is an opportunity for me to just kind of deal with this particular subject personally it's not going to be something that I feel

comfortable talking about online I think that with my history of Aminorrhea and other stuff going on, I think that, you answering questions about it feel particularly sensitive and that's

not to say that you know if in the future something changes and I'm totally happy to talk about it I will be

the first let you know like I will be telling you and being open about it because you

know that like 99% of the time I am a complete open book I am happy to talk about everything but I do

think that there are some things that just feel a little bit personal it's also

something that's not entirely my journey or choice, you know, there are two people in my relationship, me and Patty, and I think that's something that we kind of feel that we would love to navigate privately before we decide to say anything on the

subject. So I appreciate and I just wanted to use this Ask Alice segment as an opportunity to I guess address all of the

questions that came in. I mean there were so many so I was like I need to say something

but I just need to work out what I'm going to say. So I thought I would use this as a way of

just saying like I appreciate you being curious and you know we a lot of us I say we you and me or whether you're new here or you've been here for a while that you've been with me from the very start like some of you feel like you've grown up with me and I feel the same about you so just as you would ask an old friend you know like oh are you thinking of having children I get it I'm not like oh my God how dare you but I think there's also part of me that like I said is
