special different kind of episode as we know we are facing the COVID-19 coronavirus and many of us are in self-isolation or

quarantine and hope that you are staying safe, hope that you are staying at home and away from

mass gatherings and following the rules of the CDC and the WHO.

But we wanted to give you an interview that was facilitated by a professor named Ray Chang.

And Ray interviewed our president

Jamartizby the man the myth the legend as you know and he interviewed him

about a statement and this statement was sponsored by the Asian American

Christian collective,

which I love, which we are so in support of

due to the fact that we ourselves are a black Christian collective.

And it's so refreshing to see these different collectives

that are arising even now in the midst of this difficult time.

And the statement is a statement of solidarity to encourage awareness and education around

the hate crimes that many Asian Americans are facing right now.

There's just one paragraph I want to read from this statement.

It says here in the last two weeks of March 2020,

Asian Americans have reported nearly 1,000 incidents of racism.

Get that 1,000 incidents of racism.
