Summary
Before Ashly Stone started her podcast, two words kept running through her head: "come back." Those two words meant a lot to Ashly, who at one point in her faith journey left the Church but later returned. Recognizing that everyone's faith is unique, Ashly now interviews others about their experiences "coming back" to the gospel of Jesus Christ. On this week's episode, we talk with Ashly about the transformation that took place as she turned her heart to the Savior and allowed herself to experience the gospel, as well as the power in of each and every person's own "comeback."

| 0:00.0 | Recently, I was teaching a lesson in seminary related to family history. As I began to prepare, |
| 0:07.8 | I started to feel unqualified to teach. After all, I still really don't know how to index, |
| 0:14.3 | but then I started to recall things I've learned from Roots Tech over the years about |
| 0:18.9 | what family history is all about. I realized I've actually done quite a bit of family history. |
| 0:24.7 | I'll never forget the first time I went to Roots Tech. This event is no joke. With amazing |
| 0:30.8 | speakers, classes, and a huge expo hall where you can try out the latest innovations, there's |
| 0:36.8 | no way that you don't walk away from Roots Tech feeling inspired, united, and excited about |
| 0:42.8 | your family's story. This year, Roots Tech, the world's largest family history event, is |
| 0:48.8 | back in person on March 2nd through the 4th at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. It is one event I |
| 0:55.8 | have never regretted attending, and no matter your age or family history skill level, I think you'll |
| 1:01.5 | love it. In-person passes for all three days are only $98, or you can join virtually with millions of |
| 1:09.8 | others across the globe for free. Register now at Roots Tech.org. I was recently introduced to the |
| 1:23.1 | Comeback Podcast and was immediately intrigued by the stories and experiences shared. In my opinion, |
| 1:30.2 | the podcast works because of the person who was inspired to start it. Ashley Stone knows what it's |
| 1:37.0 | like to leave the church, and she knows what it's like to come back. So when she talks with others |
| 1:42.6 | about their experiences of coming back, it is completely void of judgment and instead filled with |
| 1:49.0 | light. In a recent social media post, Ashley wrote, I feel like it is my duty to share these stories |
| 1:56.2 | with so much negativity online, so much attacking, so much arguing, and debating. These stories are a |
| 2:02.9 | witness of the incredible miracle of the Savior's atoning sacrifice. I'm grateful for Ashley's |
| 2:09.3 | witness and for the many witnesses she is introducing us to through her efforts. Despite growing up in a |
| 2:16.3 | later date, St. Homme, Ashley Stone was formally in and out of rehab facilities as she struggled with |
| 2:23.3 | drug addiction. Ashley and her husband, Jessie, met in a meeting for the Church's 12-step addiction |
