What's up, STDST.S. Nation and welcome to another episode of Surviving the Survivor, the

podcast that promises to bring you the very best guests in all of true crime and when it comes to one attorney and two body

language experts you're not going to get a better panel than this one I can assure you

of that you'll get a better host because I've got a cold. I'm feeling like crap. I don't know why. I blame it on my kids of course.

We're also a little bit under the weather, but we will all pull pull through but the head is cloudy today so I

apologize in advance but we are speaking about the Ashley Benafield

trial of course she is the 32 year old woman accused of shooting and killing her

estranged husband Doug Benfield this happened back in September of 2020 near

Bradenton Florida she was arrested a little more than a month

after the shooting back in November

and charged with second-degree murder with a firearm.

It is a case that has captured national attention primarily because of some of the D.V.

associated with this case and some people believe in her testimony and others questioning it,

which is a very sensitive area because there are so many

people who've been affected by D.V. so I want to talk to Susan and Dr. G about the sensitivity surrounding this case as we dig into it.

She claimed she fired her gun and self-defense against Doug Benafield. She met him back in 2016 at a GOP fundraiser and they were married a 13 days later

That always makes me a little skeptical the two-week marriage, but

here to break all this down, better known as Brother Counsel, but Martin Radner is

an attorney licensed in Michigan and New Jersey.
