Matthew chapter 6 beginning at verse 7 and when you are praying do not use

meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do for they suppose that they will be

heard for their many words.

Therefore do not be like them, for your father knows what you need before you ask him.

Pray then in this way, our Father who aren't in heaven, howl it be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts

as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the power and the kingdom and the glory forever.

Amen.

For if you forgive men for their transgressions,

your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive men,

then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

Which means that the greatest risk we face as a church in these days is not the loss of an organ or the loss of money or the loss of staff or the loss of elders or the loss of members or the loss of reputation but the loss of heaven.

Because it is possible to become so hardened in a path of unforgiveness that you prove that God is not in you and that you do not have his forgiveness and therefore are lost.

Jesus said, pray our father who are in heaven,

forgive us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors.

And then he explained in verses 14 and 15 why he told us to pray this way because he said for if you

forgive men their transgressions your father will also forgive you but But if you do not forgive men, then your father will not forgive your trespasses or transgressions.

If we hold on to an unforgiving spirit,

if we check. to an unforgiving spirit. If we cherish it and it becomes our way, God will not forgive us for our sins.

Matthew 18 tells a parable to reinforce this with some awful words.
