Good morning my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. It is time for you

and for me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God. We are looking at

Psalm chapter 150 today. Did you realize there were 150

chapters in the Psalms? Some of them short, some of them very long, and we have

essentially journeyed all the way through them from the beginning.

We haven't necessarily spoken from every Psalm in case you haven't been with us in all of these episodes, but we're kind of taking a survey and looking at the

spirit and the nature of the Psalms and how these songs can be of great

encouragement to us and I know as a young boy growing up in the church

the Psalms were of great encouragement to me I appreciated how they were written I

appreciated the honesty with which the authors could express themselves to God and with which they did.

I also appreciated the model of prayer that the Psalms have been for me throughout my life. You can actually go to the Psalms and see how we should pray with honesty, with integrity, with clarity to express ourselves to the Lord. Because there are times in our lives when the burdens

that we carry are so heavy that we just need to get it out and we need to speak them out to our Creator and the Psalms are very helpful

in showing us how to do that appropriately.

Now Psalm chapter 150 is what is referred to as a Psalm of praise and it's very obvious why that is the case.

In fact, every verse of this Psalm has the word praise sometimes three and four times in the verse. Let me just read it. It's only

six verses long and then we'll make some comments. Praise the Lord. Praise God

in his sanctuary, Praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him in his mighty heavens, praise him for his mighty deeds, praise

him according to his excellent greatness, praise him with trumpet sound, praise him with lute and harp, praise him with trumpet sound, Praise him with lute and harp.

Praise it with tambourine and dance.

Praise him with strings and pipe.

Praise him with sounding symbols.

Praise him with loud clashing symbols. Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord.
