Welcome back to apostolic life in the 21st century. Today we're going to talk about something that is,

seems like it's everywhere these days, and that is artificial intelligence. I'm going to ask

Dr. David K. Bernard, his thoughts on artificial intelligence

and the church. Dr. Bernard, it, as you know, it's impossible to engage with the modern world anymore,

especially online, without encountering artificial intelligence in some form. I note that when you

go on Google, for example, and you do a search, a lot of the results, depending on what you're

searching for,

will come up as generated by artificial intelligence. So this has prompted a lot of conversation.

You've probably heard people speculate on, is artificial intelligence going to be the end of this

particular career, that career, or is it going to be what paves the way for the Antichrist?

So as a Christian leader and as general superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church,

what role do you think that artificial intelligence will play or is playing in the church?

What have you seen?

If any, I should add.

And what are possible pitfalls that you

foresee with this type of technology? I believe that artificial intelligence is a tool.

And like any tool, it's morally neutral, but it can be used for good or for evil.

Now, the term artificial intelligence covers many things, but you're basically essentially

talking about computer programs.

I do think artificial intelligence is already playing a significant role and will continue

to play a significant role.

And we as Christians can use it as a tool.
