Hello, everybody. Welcome to Three Point Perspective,

the podcast about illustration, how to do it, how to make a living at it, and how to make an impact in the world with your art. I'm Jake Parker. I'm Lee White. And I'm Samantha Cauderel, and let's jump into it. All right. Take it away, Lee. What's up, everybody? Today, we have decided to dive into the world of education and teaching. We're

all students, I would say, lifelong students of trying to get better and being a better

artist. And that comes in different stages and different things. And so this past month,

I'm almost through with my second workshop. I did a Sketch Mart workshop for two weeks. And so this past month, I'm almost through with my second workshop. I did a

sketch smart workshop for two weeks. And then I'm doing a watercolor workshop right now. It's very

intense. A lot of people making a lot of progress, a lot of experimentation. It's just fun to be in

that mode, student teacher mode kind of thing. And then Sam's getting ready to start her. So we thought

it would be fun to sort of dive in and talk about our takeaways from being a student, our

takeaways from being a teacher, and things that we've learned along the way. So our three,

our three little kind of guiding principles here is three lessons that we learned

from someone. It doesn't have to even be a formal teacher, BTW, just some, somebody, you never

know where some lessons going to come from. So three things that we learned that changed sort of our

trajectory. Uh, some other things that maybe teacher said that weren't actually that important or maybe even a misdirect.

And then, because we're not infallible.
