It has been a week of contrast for arse football club, not even a week, a few days Wednesday

to Sunday or Sunday to Wednesday, whatever way you want to look at it.

The differences between then and now or then and the further back then, well, they couldn't

be more marked Sunday, pain and anguish, Wednesday, joy and the opposite of anguish.

Sunday, arsinal fans wondering, where do we go from here, but more importantly, how do

we get to where we're going from here when we figure out where it is we go from here?

Wednesday.

Aha, we can see pretty much how we get to where we're going from here, but we don't quite

know where it is we're going, but at least we know how we're going to get there.

Kind of Sunday, a team of squad decimated by injury and suspension by lack of quality.

Wednesday, we buy players with experience and quality and height and flair and experience

and leadership and experience and age.

Some of them are old enough to drive, it's fantastic.

Sunday, eight goals against Wednesday, clean sheet.

Well, the differences between the two days really couldn't be more marked and I think

one day probably had a big effect on the other.

I know we went to Old Trafford and got a pasting before with that six one defeat, but I think

in fairness, that was just a freak, a freaky day because you look at the arsinal team that

day.

It had semen, Perez, Vieira, Parlar, Silvino, Wiltoord, Onary.
