the Eagles beat the Lions 16 to 9. They now, in six days, have outscored the NFC North's top two teams,

although not by record because Chicago is.

The Packers and Lions 26 to 16, that's two games of aggregate scores.

So this was an odd game last night.

You start with this, Philadelphia's defense is really rounding into form.

And the acquisition at the trade deadline of Jalen Phillips from Miami was a huge acquisition. They've gotten healthy. They've gotten Nkoby Dean back in recent weeks. It's just an

defensive front, the Eagles are poised to ride what they did last year, really, which was

their defense more than anything. But you know what happens to Jalen Hertz when they need him to

come up big in a playoff game or a big regular season game?

He will.

And by the way, last night, after all of the complaining, A.J. Brown got targeted 11 times in the game.

Seven catches, 49 yards.

It was a painful offensive game.

So a couple of things here in the game. Detroit, once again with

Dan Campbell for the second straight week calling plays, man, he made a mistake. He should
