Hey everyone, welcome to Catholic Stuff You Should Know. This is Father Sean.

Actually with you. That's right. This is awesome. I'm on the, in the first days of a week of vacation.

Spring break.

And so I decided to spend it with one of my best friends, Father Sean Conroy.

You were supposed to call into question the one of

and he's like, not my best friend? Well, I don't believe in best friends. This is actually a hot topic

and hot take that I have. Yeah. I have a top five, like MySpace and I post it publicly for everybody

to fight for my affection. This is precisely why I don't believe in best friends. Everyone, like, people ask me that. Who's your best priest friend? I'm like, I don't know. Father Jacob, shut up. What I always tell them, and I don't mean to sound cliche or cheesy, but people are like, who's your best friend? And I'm like, Jesus is my best friend. That is the right answer. And then people are like, oh, come on, you're so holy or you're so pious or whatever. And I'm like, okay, the reason why I hated that, you already said it, is MySpace is like when I had MySpace at middle school, sneaking it from my parents, and then they caught me, and I was in trouble. That was good when they caught me. but MySpace you literally rank your friends from one to as many

friends that are on your profile or page as they called it um and so i'd be like my you know my top five

were you know these five people i'm not going to say their names i don't even know if they

listen to this podcast they probably don't but they're definitely not in your top five anymore. Definitely not. But then I would go to their profiles, and I would not be their number one. I would be like their number five or six. I'm just like, oh, I guess I'm like such a loser. Yeah, and then you'd change their ranking and post that publicly. Well, it posts publicly

automatically. So they know. They're like, oh, I guess I'm not in your top five. You're not in my top five

anymore. But as a melancholic middle schooler who struggles with insecurity, that just like

amplifies all your insecurities. I was a sanguine. I still am a sanguine.

And I did think this way and I still think this way that I'm best friends with everybody.

And then it surprises me.

It just blows me out of the water when somebody comes and says they have a problem with me.

I'm like, I thought we were best friends.
