Joining us on the podcast today is Gary Hallgren,

president of Erredy, a mobility data and analytics company analyzing

current traffic trends and the future of transportation.

Gary is going to tell us about how COVID has altered travel habits in the United States

across different modes of transportation and give us some of the latest insight and analytics that he's seeing from his end.

But prior to talking with Gary, Leslie and Alexa, I wanted to ask you a little bit about what you're seeing on the road in your neck of the woods. I know that here in, you know, the West Ann Arbor, Michigan area.

To me, my gut feel is that traffic has pretty much returns

to pre-Covid levels here in recent weeks?

You know, I think time will tell, because I think it's returning as well and I think it's in some

ways returning in a pretty bad way.

I mean, people don't seem to be driving with much care

lately at least from my observation. What will be interesting to see is if the

schools do reopen what's going to happen once we return to a sense of normalcy if you will

when the fall begins and the kids are no longer home and the parents are going back to work and all that so we'll see.

And I wonder if the weather has had a say in this this normal uptick in traffic that we're seeing too, just because I've noticed on some

of the main roads around here in the immediate Metro Detroit East Side.

You know, I'm tending to see a lot more vehicles

with the windows down and everyone's going for the same drive

down the same road just because, you know, with so much lockdown still that's kind of the
